Bodice with small standing collar overlaid with frill of cream lace, horizontal panel of purple corded silk across upper bust, inverted v-shape at front covered in cream lace fastening on left, full-length gigot or leg-of-mutton sleeves with frill of cream lace, labelled ‘Simpson, Hunter & Young, Glasgow’. Skirt, full-length, gored panels attached to waist band flat at front with fullness gathered into back.
